FRANCE

France has become like a second home to me. While my peers in college started to look for study abroad opportunities, I realized I simply couldn't afford that route at that time of my life. Instead of letting that get me down though, I scoured the internet for alternatives. Surely there was some other way to immerse myself in French language beyond study abroad. Indeed there was! The path I found led me to a forever family in the south of France. Twin Volunteer connected me with them, and I was able to attend Accent Français while living with them to improve my French more academically. Thanks to my family’s kindness and generosity, I have been able to dive deep into French culture and explore hidden gems not often visited by tourists. Now, I’ve had the privilege of returning several times to visit them, and each time I fall more in love with this country.
