INSADONG ‘16

What to do:
1. Try street food (especially the long J-shaped icecream cones that look highly inappropriate)
2. Visit Ssamjigil for some shopping
3. Check out traditional Korean goods
4. Miss Lee Café and write a note and hang it on the wall or ceiling
5. Visit the poop-themed café on the rooftop of Ssamjigil

One of the first neighborhoods of Seoul I visited was Insadong. Here, you can find many touristy shops selling traditional Korean goods such as knot-works, paint brushes for calligraphy, pottery, and special handmade paper. As you walk along, there are many street food carts and little alley ways with tiny restaurants! We made sure to visit 쌈지길 (Ssamjigil) to look around the 4-story, spiral crafts mall. Here, you will see many handmade souvenirs and goods. You’ll also see some interesting food items like the one below.

My future employer may stumble upon this article and see that I visited and documented my trip to a poop-themed hotteok place and a poop-themed café, but I regret nothing. Does this mean I have a bit of 13-year-old-boy-humor? Yes. Yes it does.
